The Associated Students of the University of Missouri (ASUM)

The Associated Students of the University of Missouri or ASUM is a non-partisan activist group that represents students to the governing bodies of the University, System, City, State, and Nation. Since 1975, ASUM has been collecting information on what matters to students and working to make sure student voices are heard. ASUM has a few primary activities that have spanned its decades of service. First and foremost ASUM funds two student lobbyists from each campus to attend a legislative session every year in the spring.  Additionally, ASUM takes a trip to Washington DC to visit Representatives, Senators, federal lobbyists, and educational organizations to discuss the issues facing students in Missouri.
